LOMITA, CA-On Saturday, May 15th, activists from the South Bay
Community will gather to continue with efforts in leading the charge to
propel Marcy Winograd into office in California’s 36th Congressional
District Race. Marcy Winograd is challenging incumbent Congresswoman
Jane Harman.

Volunteers will be gathering at 10am at the South Bay Armenian Center
located at 2222 Lomita Blvd in Lomita CA. They will set out to actively
spread Winograd’s message and voice by canvassing door to door in
select areas. The grassroots effort will continue that same day with
volunteers assisting during the community’s car wash fundraiser.

"This truly is an exciting campaign to be part of," explained South Bay
ANC-PAC leader Shant Baboujian. "The residents of California’s 36th
District know that we need a leader who represents our communities
not Wall Street, and that leader is Marcy Winograd."

The Democratic Primary Election between Winograd and Harman will take
place on June 8, 2010. Individuals interested in learning more about
Marcy Winograd’s challenge to Jane Harman may visit her website at:

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
