Turkey expects more active actions from the OSCE Minsk Group and the
international community over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkish
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as saying by Anadolu.
"Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan conducted series of talks over the past year as a result of
the initiatives of Russia and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Thus,
the process has gained new momentum," Davutoglu said at a joint news
conference with his Slovakian counterpart Miroslav Lajcak.
"During his Ankara visit, President Medvedev mulled the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with President Abdullah Gul and Prime
Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan," Davutoglu noted.
He said the interests of Turkey and Russia in the Caucasus region
converge and establishment of the peace here will benefit both
Turkey and Russia, and the entire international community, TRT
Russian reported.
"We hope that these frozen conflicts will be resolved and mutual
distrust eliminated," Davutoglu said.
