"BIOFARMA-2010: from Science to Production" second international
conference opened today in Yerevan organized by the RA NAS Buniatyan
Biochemistry Institute, RF Shemyakin and Ovchinikov Bio-Organic
Chemistry Institute, Austria’s Bio-Technical Institute and Scientific
establishments.
About 115 scientists from seven countries were participating in the
conference – Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Sweden, India and Iran.
Director of the Buniatyan Biochemistry Institute Gevorg Gevorgyan said
that the conference which is being organized for already the second
time is aimed at discussing and introducing to all the methods and
scientific achievements which refer to the bio-pharmaceutics basic
researches, biological additions promoting the digest, peculiarities
of oversight of drugs’ quality.
Representative of RF Shemyakin and Ovchinikov Bio-Organic Chemistry
Institute Dmitry Bayramashvili said that after the past year’s
conference during one year in the RF quite serious changes have been
made agreed with the increase of the attention of the leadership of
the country.
"In the sphere of pharmacy if last year the financial means made 80
million rubles, this year it comprised 1 billion," he said.
The conference will last until May 20.
