US Chess Championship is underway in Saint Louis. Armenian chess
players GM Varuzhan Hakobian, GM Melikset Khachiyan, IM Levon Altounian
are taking part in the championship.
In Round 1 Varuzhan Hakobian and Levon Altounian ended in draw with
Finegold and Kudrin respectively. Melikset Khachiyan won against
Lenderman.
In Round 2 Levon had a draw with Shulman, Varuzhan Hakobian defeated
Kraai, while Khachiyan, unfortunately, lost to Kamsky.
In Round 3 Varuzhan Hakobian again won, this time against Irina Krush.
Melikset Khachiyan and Levon Altounian lost to Robert Hess and
Alexander Stripunsky respectively.
Thus, Varuzhan Hakobian scored 2,5, Levon Altounian and Melikset
Khachiyan have 1 each.
