ARMENIAN MFA: RUSSIAN PRESIDENT HAS CONSTRUCTIVE POSITION OVER NAGORNO-KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

"As one of the three OSCE Co-Chairing states, Russia contributes to
the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process and has quite an important
and constructive role in the efforts towards regulating the issue,"
Armenian Foreign Minister told reporters Friday, answering an inquiry
as to what is the Minister’s disposition over Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev’s remark at a press conference during his Turkey visit that
"Russia will use its influence to move the Nagorno-Karabakh issuet
forward."

According to Nalbandian, Russia, particularly Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev, has a personal contribution to the Nagorno-Karabakh
settlement: Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents have had a great many
meetings at his initiative.

"It’s natural that Russian President expresses a wish to continue
the efforts over supporting the sides to settle the dispute,"
FM highlighted.
