GENETICALLY MODIFIED SAUSAGE SOLD IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN. – Laboratory studies revealed sausage made in Armenia contains
genetically modified soybeans, expert from laboratory Artyom Mehrabyan
told journalists on Wednesday. He also noted fish feed is genetically
modified.
However, Mehrabyan failed to name the company supplying genetically
modified sausage to the Armenian market.
GMO were not found in other food products subjected to laboratory
analysis, among them tomatoes imported from Turkey, baby food,
imported meat and meat food.
Laboratory studies of food products have been carried out in Armenia
for a year.
