IRAN HAS BALANCED APPROACH TO NAGORNO-KARABAKH ISSUE-ARMENIAN MP

YEREVAN. Head of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary
group and the Chairman of Armenia-Iran inter-parliamentary friendship
group Galust Sahakyan met with Iran’s Ambassador to ArmeniaSeyed Ali
Saqqaiyan on Wednesday.

The Ambassador conveyed the Armenian official the invitation by
Chairman of Iran-Armenia parliamentary friendship group Arsalan
Fathipur to pay a mutual visit to Iran.

The officials highly appreciated bilateral relations and stressed
the need for their further expansion, as well as intensification of
inter-parliamentary ties, support to implementation of the earlier
reached agreements.

Sahakyan also referred to Armenia-Turkey rapprochement, Karabakh
conflict resolution, Azerbaijan’s attempts to aggravate the situation
in the line of contact and fail the negotiation process. The Armenian
MP attached high importance to the peaceful resolution of Karabakh
problem within the OSCE Minsk Group format.

Sahakyan emphasized Iran’s balanced position not only on
Nagorno-Karabakh issue, but also on other regional problems.
