MFA CONSIDERS EXPEDIENCY OF ARMENIA’S MEMBERSHIP IN CERTAIN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

YEREVAN. Foreign Affairs Ministry of Armenia is considering expediency
of Armenia’s membership in several international organizations,
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Sergey Manasaryan stated in the
Armenian National Assembly on Thursday.

He noted that at present Armenia is a member of 75 international
agencies. However, this number may change after considering the
expediency of the country’s membership to certain organizations.

According to Manasaryan, Armenia’s membership fee to international
organization made AMD 1,2 bn in 2010, which is AMD 352 m more as
compared to the same period in 2009. The Deputy FM explained it by
an increase in US dollar rate.
