SCR WORKERS’ CHILDREN TO SPEND SUMMER VACATION AT SHALI HEALTH CAMP

YEREVAN, June 10. / ARKA /. The South Caucasus Railways (SCR)
company that operates Armenia’s railroads, said some 500 children
of its employees will spend part of their summer vacations in Shali
summer health camp in the Shirak region. The company told ARKA that
the first group of 100 children will travel to Shali on June 10 for
a 16-day stay.
The company has assigned a special passenger train to travel the
children to the summer camp and back to Yerevan.
It will be driven by a skilled crew. The children will be overseen
also by an instructor, guides and security guards.
The company said it will take all measures to ensure a safe travel
of the children. Over the past two years some 1000 children of the
company’s workers spent part of their vacation at the summer camp.
The South Caucasus Railways is run by Russian Railways. The
concessional agreement was concluded in 2008 for 30 years, with a
right of extension for another 20 years after the first 20 years of
operation.
