Turkish State Minister and envoy on EU affairs Egemen Bagis made his
remarks yesterday over Turkish Ambassador to EU Selim Kuneralpi’s
statement that EU has lost its influence upon Turkey, “CNNTurk”
writes.
Bagis has particularly said Turkey is decisive in EU process: “We
don’t need EU states, we need EU principles.”
Referring to the Armenian-Turkish relations, Bagis said in a meeting
with Armenian, Turkish and American journalists: “I know in 1915 both
of the sides faced hard times. Serzh sargsyan and Abdullah Gul made
brave steps. The process should be continued.”
Bagis said realistic steps are being made in Turkey-Armenia-Azerbaijan
relations.
“”Hand shaking” between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be followed by
the opening of the border.”
