ARMEN MARTIROSYAN COMPARES DIALOGUE WITH SOAP OPERA

“Heritage” party MP Armen Martirosyan compares the dialogue between
the authorities and the opposition with a soap opera. He says dialogue
becomes unimportant in light of the mounting migration and growing
deserted villages.
“About 80% of young people are ready to leave the country at the
earliest opportunity. It is ridiculous to speak about a dialogue in
the given situation,” said Martirosyan.
The Heritage MP welcomes the cooperation between opposition forces and
says they are trying to create conditions for it. At the same time,
Martirosyan stresses that cooperation is more effective between two
political forces.
“The most important is not the cooperation but their endeavors to draw
the attention of the state to public problems and concerns,” he said.
The parliamentarian says the representation of the Armenian National
Congress (HAK) in parliament will not make any changes in the country.
“The authorities and the HAK pursue the same policy. I do not expect
drastic changes in the Karabakh issue either,” he said.
The Heritage MP says it is urgent to make systematic changes which
include adoption of new constitution and appointment of new ombudsman,
in order not be considered an unlawful country.
