AMBASSADOR EDGAR GHAZARYAN EXPRESSED GRATITUDE TO POLAND FOR THE OFFICIAL RECOGNITION OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
On March 13, a press-conference dedicated to the Centennial of
Armenian Genocide was held in the conference hall of Warsaw Catholic
News Agency.
The spokesmen of the press-conference were Ambassador of Armenia
to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan, Head of Polish-Armenian Parliamentary
Friendship Group Lukasz Abgarowicz, representative of the Armenian
Minority in the Joint Commission of the Government and National
and Ethnic Minorities Eduard Mier-Endzerovicz, Deputy Head of the
Foundation of Culture and Heritage of Polish Armenians Armen Artvicht.
Krzysztof Tomaszik chaired the press-conference on the behalf of
Catholic News Agency.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ghazaryan touched upon the importance
and schedule of the events in the framework oof Armenian Genocide
Centennial.. The Ambassador especially expressed gratitude to Poland
for the official recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide
through special resolution of the Seim in 2005.
In his remarks, Senator Lukasz Abgarowicz touched upon the Resolution
of the Seim of Poland in 2005 on the recognition and condemnation of
the Armenian Genocide, highlighting its importance for the restoration
of the historical justice and participation of Poland in this issue.
The representative of the Armenian Minority in the Joint Commission
of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities Eduard
Mier-Endzerovicz and the Head of the Foundation of Culture and Heritage
of Polish Armenians Armen Artvicht touched upon the events organized
within the frameworks of the Centennial of Armenian Genocide.
After the press-conference, Ambassador Kazaryan gave an interview
to the Polish Public Radio and the famous polish newspaper
“Rzeczpospolita”.
