FANS OF ARMENIAN NATIONAL GIVE RED-CARPET WELCOME TO OLYMPIQUE’S DEFENDER AT ZVARTNOTS

YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. Fans of the Armenian national football
team have given a red-carpet welcome to Olympique Marseille defender
Gaël Andonian at Zvartnots airport in Yerevan, the press office of
Armenia’s football federation reports.

Andonian, being invited to the Armenian national team, arrived in
Yerevan on Tuesday, Novosti-Armenia reports.

Olimpique’s defender prepares for an away match against Albanians as
part of the European championship qualifiers.

The match against Albanians will take place in Elbasan on March 29.

The Armenian national is to hold, ahead of the game, a training camp
at the football academy in Yerevan.

The Armenian national’s rivals in the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying group
are Portugal, Denmark, Serbia and Albania.

Denmark, with the seven points scored in four matches, has outdone all
its rivals in the group. Portugal has six points after three matches
and Albania four points after three matches. Armenia and Serbia,
having only one point each after three matches, are crippling behind.
