UKRAINIAN PRESS COVERS ARMENIAN GENOCIDE CENTENNIAL EVENTS

YEREVAN, 22 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Becoming familiar with the Armenian
experience cold be helpful for Ukraine, which is presenting demands for
recognition of the Holodomor. This is mentioned in the article devoted

the events of 1915 as genocide, including France, Belgium, Italy,
the Russian Federation, Canada, Argentina and Uruguay. The last
to recognize the Armenian Genocide was Pope Francis, who called it
“the first genocide of the 20th century” during an April 12 Holy Mass.

The author also mentions the fact that all layers of society of Armenia
and the Armenian Diaspora have been involved in carrying out the
events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. An
exhibition showcasing photos and the front pages of European newspapers
with the title “Genocide of 1915” was organized with the purpose of
introducing the international community to facts about the Armenian
