Appathurai: Armenia’s membership to EAEU and CSTO sparks no criticism in NATO

YEREVAN. – NATO fully respects the balanced foreign policy of Armenia, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, James Appathurai, told journalists in Yerevan Monday.

In his words, Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) doesn’t spark any criticism in NATO. For NATO Armenia was and remains a trustful partner, he added.

The official also predicted no drastic changes in this situation, expressing hope that Armenian doesn’t have such intentions either. Apart from this, Appathurai noted that the Armenia-NATO cooperation will continue.
