YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. EPIC rock music festival took place in Tsakhkadzor, a popular resort in Armenia, on August 12 and 13 under Rostelecom’s sponsorship, the press office of the telecommunication company reported on Monday.  

According to the press release, the company provided the entire territory of the festival with a free WiFi, which allowed participants to share their impressions and live transmissions with their friends. 

The festival has been organized by Armenia Travel as part of EPIC International Summer School. 

The Rock Association of Armenia, too, has contributed to the organization of the festival, and radio Van has been the event’s information sponsor.  

Rock bands AlternatiV, Mad Paradox, VishUp, DOGMA, Vostan Hayots,Vordan Karmir, EMPYRAY, Rozen Tal, Nemra, The Black Marrows, The Pillows Family, Fairwind, Miki Aelia and The Windros have performed at this open air festival. 

GNC-ALFA, Rostelecom’s Armenian subsidiary, began promotion and sale of broadband Internet, IP-TV and a new generation of IP-telephony in Armenia under the brand of Rostelecom from 2012 December.   

The company’s fiber-optic network covers 80% of the territory of Armenia, extending to more than 2,500 km.  The network is connected to the main regional backbones and major traffic exchange sites, as well as international channels via Georgia and Iran. –0—
