PM Karapetyan discussed Armenian- Kazakh and Armenian-Belarusian relations

YEREVAN, August 14, /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan met with his Kazakh counterpart Bakytzhan Sagintayev in Astana, Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of a meeting of the Eurasian Inter-governmental Council, Armenian government press office reported.

It said the Kazakh prime minister noted that the high-level interstate relations and political dialogue  between the two countries provide a good basis for deepening economic cooperation. Sagintayev stressed that mutual high-level visits will contribute to the further development and deepening of Armenian-Kazakh relations.

Thankful for a warm welcome, Karen Karapetyan Armenia said he was glad to meet with his counterpart on the eve of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan. Karen Karapetyan noted that growth trends can be seen in bilateral trade and economic relations and there is a potential for the further development of economic cooperation.

The Armenian prime minister stressed that there are numerous promising projects that can be implemented jointly and on mutually beneficial terms. The parties discussed a number of issues high on the bilateral agenda and outlined new areas of cooperation.

Karen Karapetyan met also with Belarus prime minister Andrei Kobyakov. The two heads of government discussed the agenda and the prospects for the further development of Armenian-Belarusian economic relations. A number of issues of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union were touched upon. -0-
