Sports: Gor Minasyan wins Armenia’s 3rd gold medal in Summer Universiade

Silver medalist of the Olympic Games and European Championship Gor Minasyan took the first place in heavyweight.

He successfully lifted 195 kg and then 200 kg in snatch. Gor lifted 235 kg in clean and jerk and became gold medalist with total of 430 kg.

Cheng Chieh from Taipei took the second place with total of 415 kg.

Earlier Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan won gold medal in under 105 kg weight category. Gymnast Artur Tovmasyan became gold medalist as well. Andranik Karapetyan took silver medal in weightlifting and Sergey Vardazaryan – bronze in taekwondo.
