On October 27-29, more than 90 students of Yerevan State University visited the Republic of Artsakh. The visit is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army. During the visit by the Youth Foundation of Armenia (YFA), YSU Rectorate, Student Affairs Center, Leonid Azgaldyan Military Training Club, Student Councils, students were in liberated territories.
Coordinator of the Youth Foundation of Armenia, MP Karen Avagyan assured: “Many of the students have not been in Artsakh. So, we solve that problem. Our young people should recognize Artsakh. The other problem that is being solved during our program is to be next to young people who keep our borders at least a short time, making them more exciting.”
Mr. Avagyan mentioned that such programs are implemented with all universities: Medical and Economic Universities, Polytechnic university, National University of Architecture and Construction.
Vahagn Varagyan, Director of YSU Center for Student Affairs, noted that these visits are very important for the students as they become more patriotic.
In Shahumyan region, students established a park dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army.
Moreover, a few years ago, the park named after Tatul Krpeyan, founded by university students, was completely destroyed by fire. But according to Gurgen Melikyan, it will definitely be restored thanks to students.
