CELTIC are facing a humiliating Champions League defeat against Alashkert according to their former boss Abraham Khashmanyan.
Khashmanyan was in charge of the Armenian side when they shocked St Johnstone in the Europa League in 2015.
And he reckons the Hoops could suffer this time when they travel to the former Soviet state in their first of a possible four qualifying rounds.
Khashmanyan said: “Celtic are a good team who always play in the Champions League, but for me there is not much difference in Scottish football between the top teams in the league.
“And Alashkert have already proved we are good enough to beat a Scottish team — and they are better than that now.
“Celtic are not insurmountable, far from it.
“There’s no reason why Armenian football cannot triumph.”
