Andre Agassi open to coaching roles

Former Grand Slam Champion Andre Agassi spoke about a possible return to coaching despite facing troubles during his first stint with Novak Djokovic. The former World No.1 said that his first experience in coaching were “challenging, interesting and educational”.

“When I played I never felt pressure but a lot of stress. As a coach I never felt stress but a lot of pressure so that was an interesting difference,” Agassi said. “As a coach you have to make sure you’re saying the right thing at the right time or not saying the wrong thing at the wrong time – there was a lot of pressure to it.” He further did not rule out a possible reuniting with Novak Djokovic, even though the Serb has been joined by Marian Vajda,” Andre Agassi said this during an interview given to Tennis World USA.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
