Skippy off to Armenia

LOCAL identity Margaret “Skippy” Skipworth was surprised to see a Kadina Lions Club trailer blocking her driveway recently.
That surprise became incredulity when Lions president John Barnes and treasurer Dave Goold explained they were there to give her money toward her planned study trip to Armenia.
“We heard Skippy had been invited to Armenia by the Armenian Christian Association to see what has been done for orphaned children there and what else could be done in future, but she was having trouble financing the trip,” John said.
