Earthquake registered in Azerbaijan, felt in Karabakh and Armenia

Armenia’s Seismic Protection territorial service has registered 4.8 magnitude earthquake in the territory of Azerbaijan on August 28 at 4.57 pm local time (12.57 GMT).

The quake struck at a depth of 25 km with its strength reaching 6-7 magnitude in the epicenter, Armenia’s Emergency Situations Ministry reports.

It was felt in Karabakh’s town of Hadrut and in Armenia’s Kapan and Goris towns.
