After the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, the mothers of the soldiers who died in peace still are not satisfied. They think that their sons’ cases were abolished by the decree of Nikol Pashinyan. They trust the Prime Minister, but they do not trust the Special Investigation Service (SIS). Today, these mothers again held a protest action in front of the government building.
Irina Ghazaryan, whose son died in 2010, says that she cannot trust SIS, since Yuri Badalyan, Armen Harutyunyan, Arthur Davtyan, and others are still in SIS. “They cannot conduct a fair trial.”
Mothers recall that Nikol Pashinyan promised that if a fair trial is not conducted in the SIS, their case would be transferred to the National Security Service (NSS).
“Our cases, of children’s deaths are a security issue and the NSS must deal with it. This is already the third and fourth stage suspension, and now we know what’s going to happen, it’s time NSS to be involved,” says Nana Muradyan.
