As Junior Eurovision draws closer, more countries are selecting their entrants. Today, after an exciting Depi Mankakan Evratesil final, L.E.V.O.N.earned the right to represent Armenia in Minsk!
L.E.V.O.N. defeated the competition of 9 other entrants and will sing the song “L.E.V.O.N.” in Minsk next November 25.
Depi Mankakan Evratesil consisted of 2 semi-finals and one final. It was the first time that Armenia used a national final since 2014. Furthermore, candidates also performed original songs rather than covers in the show. The other acts competing in the final were:
- Ani – ANGELS
- Vardan Margaryan – Chanaparh (Road)
- Lia – Kamats-Kamats (Little by little)
- Eliza – Im Yerazank (My dream)
- Serzh Arakelyan – Good Mood
- Vova – Leggo
- Lily – Paykar (Struggle)
- Anahit Arakelyan – Shabadabadam

Armenia made its Junior Eurovision debut back in 2007 when the contest was held in Rotterdam. Aremik was the first to wave the Armenian flag at the contest with the song “Erazanq”. She finished second with 136 points, only a single point behind that year’s winner Belarus, narrowly missing out on a triumphant debut. After debuting in 2007, Armenia hasn’t missed out on a single contest and has enjoyed excellent results every year. They won the contest once in 2010 with Vladimir Arzumanyan and his catchy entry “Mama”.They also never missed out on a top 10 and placed in the top 3 multiple times. Last year, MISHA placed 6th with his entry “Boomerang” with 148 points. You can read more about Armenia’s journey at Junior Eurovision in our feature here.
Are you happy with Armenia’s choice? Will they repeat history and win again in Minsk?
