ArmInfo. Armenia is at the crossroads of civilizations, where different cultures, religions, interests intersect. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian stated this  rrspeaking at the University of Heidelberg.

 According to him, Armenia plays an important role in the new world. <We are a small but global nation. We are a nation that, being at the crossroads of  civilizations and interests, was able to survive. True, we are not  rrrrich in mineral resources, but we have developed technologies and  science, we have a rich historical and cultural heritage. In this  regard, I have a mission to turn Armenia into a world scientific and  technological center, "the president said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
