The Swedish parliament, the Riksdag, has unanimously ratified the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the European Union and Armenia, the Armenian Embassy in Stockholm said in a post on Facebook.

The Riksdag hosted debates on Thursday on the ratification of the document, in attendance of Armenian Ambassador to Sweden Alexander Arzumanyan.

Representatives of six parliamentary factions delivered remarks at the meeting, expressing support to the agreement.

After the debates, the chair of the foreign affairs committee invited the Armenian ambassador to a brief reception.

The Riksdag conducted a voting on Thursday evening to unanimously ratify the CEPA, the embassy said.

The deal signed in the margins of the Eastern Partnership Summit on 24 November 2017, has been so far ratified by 13 EU member states, as well as Armenia.
