Rehearsing right now inside the Expo Tel Aviv is Srbuk, performing “Walking Out” for Armenia. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!
Srbuk is on the stage alone, wearing knee high boots and is in all black. Overall the lighting is very dark with some red lights. The LED screen and the floor show pieces of broken glass throughout the performance. During the high note before the last chorus we saw more breaking glass on the screen.
The camera work is very similar to what we have seen from Armenia in the past with Iveta and Artsvik. The first verse includes lots of quick camera changes while on the chorus we have more wide shots of the whole arena.
On the third run we also saw some pyrotechnics. At the beginning of the performance the stage is filled with smoke. During the last chorus some fire pillars appear.
After not hearing the audio on the first run, on the next two runs Srbuk sounded very good and went for most of the high notes.
