Armenia is looking at investment and trade partnerships with Vietnam in areas like textile-garments, agricultural products, food, alcoholic beverages and dried fruits, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently said at a working session with major Vietnamese businesses in Hanoi. The prime minister also showed interest in Vietnamese coffee products.

The event was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and big Vietnamese enterprises.
Pashinyan said the investment climate in his country is improving to facilitate business development and there are hardly any barriers to foreign investment there, according to a news agency.

VCCI chairman Vu Tien Loc said Vietnam has demand for many commodities from Armenia like machinery, equipment and textile-garments. Vietnam can also step up the export of aquatic products, farm produce, electronic devices and apparel to the European nation, he said. (DS)

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
