Armenia expects to receive Su-30SM multifunctional fighter jets from Russia in late 2019 or early 2020 as envisaged by the contract, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan told reporters on Monday.

Asked whether the country plans to purchase other types of armament in the near future, the minister refrained from making any comments but promised ‘military surprises.’

“I cannot speak about it at the moment, but there shall be military surprises,” the defense chief said.
