STEPANAKERT. – President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), Bako Sahakyan, on Sunday attended—in the Gandzasar Monastic Complex—an event devoted to the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, which is commonly known among Armenians as Vardavar.

Subsequently, the President was on hand at the launch of the newly reprinted The Book of Sadness by Gregory of Narek, Central Information Department of the Office of the Republic of Artsakh President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his remarks at this event, Sahakyan noted the importance of works contributing to the preservation of national cultural values and patriotic upbringing of the younger generation.

National Assembly speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, and several other officials also attended these events.
