A famous physician and academician has died after a road accident Sunday, in Armavir Province of Armenia.

Between 7:30am to 8am, an SUV went off road—under yet unknown circumstances—on the Argina-Karakert motorway, crashed into huge stones, rolled over several times, and ended up in a gorge, shamshyan.com reported.

The driver—Nver Kirakosyan—died on the spot, but his body was found about 20 meters from the car.

Police arrived at the scene.

Those assembled at the scene said the deceased was a well-known and beloved physician who had saved many lives.

He was a physician and an academician, as well as the director of a medical diagnostic center.
