Head coach of the team Habetnak Kurghinyan has told Mediamax Sport that there are no injuries in the squad and the training goes as planned.
“We selected the squad based on the results the athletes had in different tournaments in the course of the year. We held the last but one training camp in Sochi, jointly with the Russian, Mongolian and German teams. Now we’re making the last preparations in Yerevan to perform well in the World Championship,” he said.
The squad who will represent Armenia and compete for medals and Olympic quotas includes Arsen Harutyunyan (57kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (65kg), Varuzhan Kajoyan (74kg), Grigor Grigoryan (79kg), Hovhannes Mkhitaryan (86kg) and Levan Berianidze (125kg).
The squad will travel to Nur-Sultan on September 17 and enter into the competition on the following day.
