ArmInfo.Thanks to today's decision of the judge in the case of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, a new legal state was born in the republic. Deputy  Chairman of the Armenian National Congress Party Levon Zurabyan  stated.

When the judge of Yerevan court of general jurisdiction Anna  Danibekyan today rejected the lawyer's request to cancel the arrest  as a measure of restraint against the main defendant in the March 1  case, Robert Kocharyan, citizens gathered in the courtyard of the  court who demanded life imprisonment for Kocharyan, at the call of  the  "Armenian National Congress" party's deputy chairman Levon  Zurabyan moved to the Myasnikyan monument, paying tribute to the  memory of the victims of March 1.

Speaking to opponents of Kocharyan, Zurabyan called today's decision  of the judge a victory of justice, saying that thanks to this  decision the republic changed its face and a new legal state was born  in Armenia.  "Today, not just Robert Kocharyan lost, or some  political force won. Today robbers, looters were defeated, today  those authorities who thought that using decades of state power could  rob their own people and then shoot at it when it rebels, lost. Today  Armenia has won, a law-abiding citizen has won, democracy has won,  justice has won, "Zurabyan chanted, noting that the" struggle "and  the" war "are continuing.
