For the first time in Armenia the minimum wage for teachers is set at the state level. Under the new funding formula, according to the salary calculation coefficients, the minimum salary of teacher will be about 108,000 drams (including tax). 

The corresponding decision was adopted at the October 31 sitting of the RA Government, which will enter into force on January 1, 2020, and will become a legal guarantee that any teacher who teaches full-time will no longer be paid below the prescribed rate.
