Sports: Disabled athletes participating in a training camp in Germany

Disabled athletes from Armenia are attending a training camp in Germany organized by the trilateral agreement with the RA Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces of the German Federal Republic and the International Military Sports Council (CISM).

As the press department at the ministry of defense reported, the camp underway in Germany from January 19-24 is a preparation stage to the Winter Military World Games in 2021.

 The Armenian participants were chosen by the ministry of defense in collaboration with the country’s Ski Federation and Armenian National Paralympic Committee.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
