Yes, member of the Bright Armenia Party Rubik Stepanyan has served as head of the Penitentiary Department. This is what head of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly Edmon Marukyan told reporters today, touching upon deputy of the My Step faction Gevorg Papoyan’s speech in which the latter recalled that many members of the Bright Armenia faction held offices during the years of the former authorities, including police chief, positions in the Staff of the President of Armenia, etc.

“All the members of Bright Armenia party have careers. Rubik Stepanyan is a war veteran and a colonel. Being the member of a political party is one thing, serving in the army is another thing. I served in the army during the administration of Robert Kocharyan, so shoot me.
