Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Saturday that the country's healthcare system is overloaded and there are no more free places for patients in critical and extremely serious condition in intensive care units. According to the Prime Minister, more than 200 COVID-19 patients are waiting for being hospitalized.

According to 169.am, it turns out that in Yerevan and the regions there are a number of empty medical centers that were preparing to receive patients with coronavirus, but the Armenian health ministry does not allow these medical centers to accept them.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) Vahan Artsruni said that the department and specialists have been allocated specifically for COVID-19 patients in the first clinical hospital of YSMU, but the ministry did not provide the department with the opportunity to act.
