Yerevan /Mediamax/. Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin has stated today that Russia and Armenia have been closely cooperating in the fight against COVID-19 since the first day of the state of emergency.
According to the Ambassador, the heads of the two countries’ governments and Ministries of Health maintain regular communication regarding the issue.
“Since the early stages of the pandemic, Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rosbotrebnadzor) has handed 1,500 coronavirus tests to Armenia. The mobile laboratory, which operates in Armenia since April 7, has also played a notable role in the coronavirus response: Russian experts working in this laboratory has run 7,000 tests,” said Sergey Kopyrkin.
He has added that this year Rospotrebnadzor will provide additional means to Armenia for coronavirus detection.
