YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Yesterday, after the EPP [European People's Party] summit, EPP President Donald Tusk had called on—on Twitter—the RA authorities to refrain from pressure on the opposition.
We inquired whether [Armenian ex-President] Serzh Sargsyan spoke—in his video-link speech—about the events surrounding [opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, and business tycoon] Gagik Tsarukyan.
"Yes. Sargsyan made a separate reference to the political processes taking place around Gagik Tsarukyan, as those processes were very dynamic and heated, making some adjustments in the final version of his speech, and he also spoke about the political persecution against him [Tsarukyan]—up to the court session for [his] arrest."
