The Court of General Jurisdiction today rejected a motion on the arrest of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
The National Security Service sent a motion to the court after the National Assembly voted on Monday to deprive him of parliamentary immunity and sanction his arrest.
Tsarukyan is charged with vote-buying during the 2017 parliamentary elections. He denies any wrongdoing and insists that the actions are politically motivated.
