Nobody has the right to violate the rights of others, including the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia. This is what MP Suren Grigoryan said during a live Q&A hosted by the Civil Contract Party on Facebook today, responding to a Facebook user’s following question: Does Naira Zohrabyan have the right to violate human rights as the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs? How should she be punished? Is she adequate to her position?
“Nobody has the right, including Naira Zohrabyan. I believe Naira Zohrabyan’s line of conduct is more shameful and jeopardizes her ability to accomplish her mission, but that’s another story. Based on her line of conduct, I believe the expediency of her term of office should be considered,” Grigoryan stated.
Asked if the parliament is preparing to consider this issue, Grigoryan added that this definitely won’t go unnoticed. “When the issue is considered, the public will be informed,” he said.
