Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan has issued a statement on the resignation filed by deputy of the National Assembly Mane Tandilyan. The statement particularly reads as follows:
“According to part 1 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia Mane Tandilyan submitted her resignation letter today.
According to part 2 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, if in the course of one week after publication of the resignation the deputy withdraws his or her application for resignation, the Speaker of the National Assembly shall issue a statement on that; if the deputy does not withdraw his or her application, a record shall be drawn up regarding termination of powers which is signed and announced by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation shall be deemed to be accepted upon promulgation of the record.”
