YEREVAN. – The mediators have noted the importance of the St. Petersburg and Vienna agreements in 15 of the 25 statements. Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan stated this at his press conference Wednesday, and regarding the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) peace process.
To the remark that the statement adopted in Geneva in October 2017 does not mention these agreements and asked why, the former president responded that this matter was out of the topic of his press conference, but added: "Isn't it clear that Azerbaijan could not fulfill that agreement? But on the other hand, it is obvious that after the agreements in St. Petersburg and Vienna, the co-chairs [of the OSCE Minsk Group] made 25 statements, 15 of which mentioned the agreements. The last [such] statement was made in February 2018. However, I will not go into details, as this topic is very important, and I will address this issue in detail in the future."
