Moscow will host the joint meeting of defense ministers of CIS countries and member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in early September. This is what Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, army general Sergey Shoygu declared during a meeting with Minister of Defense of Armenia Davit Tonoyan on the sidelines of the Army-2020 International Military-Technical Forum, TASS reports.
According to Shoygu, the Russian-Armenian military cooperation is growing in the bilateral format and within the framework of international structures and first and foremost within the framework of the CSTO.
Shoygu expressed his gratitude to Tonoyan for the participation of Armenia’s soldiers during the Victory Parade held at Red Square on June 24 and underscored the high level of preparedness.
The Russian defense minister also wished the teams from Armenia victory during the International Army Games and offered his counterpart to discuss the current issues related to military cooperation.
