The Investigative Committee is envisaging changes according to which people who have previously been exempt from compulsory military service can be appointed to positions.
This is what Vice-Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Arsen Ayvazyan said during a discussion on the bill on making amendments and supplements to the Law on the Investigative Committee, adding that, according to the existing legislation, there is a certain group of people in Armenia who have been lawfully exempted from military service, but the person must be provided with an opportunity to serve in the army, if his or her health condition, physical condition or mental state is not a hindrance to his or her service as an investigator of the Investigative Committee.
