YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes: According to our information, now Hrayr Tovmasyan, former President of the Constitutional Court and now an ordinary member, is repeating [Constitutional Court Judge] Vahe Grigoryan's steps and is not coming to court for work , although his vacation period has ended a long time ago.
It should be reminded that as of June 25, Hrayr Tovmasyan was on vacation for 35 working days, and [Constitutional Court Judge] Arevik Petrosyan was on vacation for 51 working days, after which the Constitutional Court does not hold sittings due to the lack of quorum. And after that, Ashot Khachatryan, the Acting President of the Constitutional Court, had decided to recall the judges on vacation.
And although Constitutional Court judges Hrayr Tovmasyan and Arevik Petrosyan had returned from vacation on August 10, Tovmasyan is not showing up for work.
It should be reminded that as a result of the Constitutional amendments, Hrayr Tovmasyan had lost the post of President of the Constitutional Court, whereas the powers of CC [Constitutional Court] judges Hrant Nazaryan, Alvina Gyulumyan, and Felix Tokhyan were terminated prematurely.
