(MENAFN)According to local media, Germany canceled asylum status of Armenian origin Syrian regime supporter Kevork Almassian.

The Die Welt newspaper declared that the status of Almassian was repealed, mentioning the immigration authority. Almassian has been in Germany since 2015.

According to the newspaper, the cause behind the action was being a supporter of the Bashar al-Assad regime and is not under political pursuit in Syria.

It further said that Almassian could confront exile but the hesitation could continue for some time as the case was transported to court.
