Armenian opposition MP: Roads to Gyumri are shut down by parents and relatives of POWs

Leader of the opposition Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Edmon Marukyan took to his Facebook to report the following:

“The parents and relatives of missing servicemen and prisoners of war have shut down all roads to Gyumri. There are big traffic jams, and the situation is tense.

However, there is almost no information about this. Citizens have been expressing their protest by shutting down roads for a few hours already.

There is news that the mentioned roads will be shut down all night long.”

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
