Russia stopped the war because if it wasn’t stopped on November 9, it’s clear that on November 10 Arayik Harutyunyan would be placed in a helicopter and transported to Baku where he would be sat down in front of a camera and address the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). This is what former chief of staff of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Edgar Ghazaryan said during today’s press conference.

“It was clear that Azerbaijan was going to establish total control over the territory of Artsakh. In this case, there wouldn’t be Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, but in all cases, there had to be Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh since Russia had wanted this for a long time. This would only happen, if the war was stopped on November 9, and it was stopped by Russia. This is the reason why we Armenians no longer have control over Artsakh, and Artsakh is no longer Armenian land. The Armenian authorities transferred the majority of the territory of Artsakh to the Azerbaijanis, and the Russians managed to save a small territory to meet their geopolitical objectives,” he said.
